Blake teachers are constantly helping us in our weak areas and encouraging us in our strong areas. We want the faculty to know that we really appreciate all the extra hours they expend in our behalf. It's how you play the game. That's what the other team says when they lose the ballgame or that's what father says when you tell him your team lost. He'll say, Well, Kid, winning isn't everything; it's how you play the game. But you know he's disappointed and winning is everything. You're in a big swimming meet. You jump into the water and you're in first. You swim your fastest and finally you look up when you finish, but you find out you are last. Your coach pulls you out of the water and you rest a little bit. The he says, You know, winning isn't everything, it's how you play the game, But you can see that disappointed look in his eyes saying, Kid, you lost the big race! And then the kids get mad at you because you lost the meet. And now you know winning is everything. 38 . mw'aimim : mmw$ummnnau : $ - N u$ MWWMMMM HIGHCROFT LOWER SCHOOL LOWER SCHOOL Here is a child's first experience in organized learning.
