In 1955, when some of our present Seniors were entering Second Ward school as seventh graders, another new figure also came to Second Ward. Mr. Edward A. Mish accepted his first teaching position at Blairsville. He became more than a teacher to us, the class of 1961. I-Ie was a friendg someone to turn to with our problems. As if by chance, when we were promoted to the high school as Freshmen, Mr. Mish transferred with us, becoming our class advisor. He guided us to a successful year and made the lfoundation for our remaining high school years. THE P RPOSE OE THE BL IRE Throughout the summer and school year, we ofthe Blaire staff have worked di ligently and earnestly to create a unique and distinct yearbook for you, the faculty and students of Blairsville Joint High School. The production of a well-organized yearbook requires considerable time and effort. Under the guidance of our advisor, Mr. Regis Frola, we strived to compile complete and accurate material to be enjoyed now and in future years. We sincerely hope this recording of school activities in words and pictures will be a treasured part of your life, and that you will gain as much satisfaction in this annual as we have had in preparing it for you. 6
