Mr. Edward A. Mish accepted his first teaching position at Blairsville. He became more than a teacher to us, the class of 1961. I-Ie was a friendg someone to turn to with our problems. As if by chance, when we were promoted to the high school as Freshmen, Mr. Mish transferred with us, becoming our class advisor. He guided us to a successful year and made the lfoundation for our remaining high school years. ' Because of his accomplishments and his helpful assistance to our class, the Seniors are proud to dedicate the 1961 edition of the Blaire to Mr. Mish. 4 DEDICATED T0 Mr. Edward A. The production of a well-organized yearbook requires considerable time and effort. Under the guidance of our advisor, Mr. Regis Frola, we strived to compile complete and accurate material to be enjoyed now and in future years. We sincerely hope this recording of school activities in words and pictures will be a treasured part of your life, and that you will gain as much satisfaction in this annual as we have had in preparing it for you. 6 Left to Right-- Absent-- THE STAFF Mr. Regis Frolaz . . BLAIRSVILLE JOINT SCHOOL BOARD Miss Mildred Muir Secretary 114 N TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1961: Important levels of achievement are reached periodically throughout ones lifetime. Of these, graduation from high school is memorable because of the significant changes it makes in each individual's life. Some begin work immediately while others pursue a desire to develop a higher degree of competence through increased education. Regardless of the choice you follow may your experience be rich with success and happiness. Finally, with congratulations comes hope that good health and peace of mind will be with you always, James M. Burk Supervising Principal Mrs. Rene Smith Secretary 115 My sincerest congratulations are extended to the Class of 1961.
