That was a familiar cry at 'half-time at the football games as our band mothers handed out milk to the home and visiting bands. They were also responsible for the sandwiches and milk served to the football teams, both home team and opponents. Band mothers could always be seen selling pro- grams at the games to make money to sponsor-a dance and banquet for our band members at the end of the year. They also made money to buy uniforms and equipment. We would like to say, Hats off, to our band mothers for a well-done iob.
