Roger Dettorre Miss Turner OFFICERS President Vice Secretary Treasurer Adviser WE CONGRATULATE THE GRADUATING SENIORS AND WISH THEM GODSPEED We were both proud and frightened that eventful day in September of T942 when we entered Blairsville High School as freshmen. How embarrassed we were when we got lost trying to find our classrooms, The laughter of the upperclassmen was even more humiliating. However, our greenness soon began to fade and we became accustomed to high school life. As sophomores we were allowed to elect class officers. We wisely chose George Rowley as president, Paul Fleming as vice president, Eunice Hess as secretary, Bill Stockdale as treasurer, and Miss Fenlon as adviser, We felt very grown-up, when in February we attended our first evening dance, the Sophomore Hop. We shall never forget our iunior year. Under the able direction of Art Marcozzi as president, Paul Fleming as vice president, Mid Bergman as secretary, Bill Stockdale as treasurer, and Miss Dick as advisor, we were able to plan many dances and social affairs. Then came the night we had all been waiting for, April 27 and our Southern Gardens Prom. We danced to the starlight melodies of Lee Kelton amid roses and moonlight. Our thanks go to Miss Dick whose wise planning and assistance made our junior year successful. Our senior year found us more grown-up and serious. Art Marcozzi and Mid Bergman were re-elected as president and secretary respectively, Bill Stockdale served as vice president and Roger Dettorre acted as treasurer. Miss Turner was our capable and friendly adviser. We were kept busy ordering announcements, name cards, and felt goods, and working on the class play, Leave lt To Grandma. June 4, that long awaited commencement night came sooner than we had anticipated. Now we leave our carefree school days behind us and look forward into a bright and successful world of tomorrow.
