I know I shall miss them immensely. I believe I shall list them in my diary so that in years to come T may live again mv high school days with the Class of 1934. I should never 'like to foget Willie Antonette whose grace and skill in dancing might make a Broadway star envious. He had, however, a difficulty in learning current events. And the day I ran into Cicero class to find that I was late and Frank Avalli was just repeating the word no for the nth time . and how reliable W3lt Bower recited so well. Everyone knows what a liking he has for animals. especially ponies . It's too bad we don't have a basket ball team so that Margaret Barnett could be the prize forward. He:- ability is sadly misused by missing the waste-paper basket in Chemistry class. Among the cuckoos tlovebirdisl from B. H. S. are Buzzy and Dot , our busy man-about-school and our most talka- tive Senior girl. Here comes Red - WILLIAM ANTONETTE FRANK AVALLI MARGARET BARNETT V, L. But above all his whistling comes Adaline's musical giggle down these sacred halls. Halls which served Edith Eertonaschi as a race track. But Edith knows that success as a secretary demands promptness, so she hurl ies on. A French- man, a banker, or what-have-you, all com- bined to make Paul Boesman, an answer to some gold digger's prayer. I've been wondering lately why Sara Brant- linger has a particular liking for Saltsburg. It might be interesting to know! Last night was the class play, which I wouldn't have missed seeing. Jeanne Bowser, lovely as ever, added more laurels to her repute- tion as the most popular Senior girl and the class fashion plate. She really is a charming actress, too. A blonde who keeps things going in the Commercial De- partment is Mary Buco, who knows her P'5 and Q's in Shorthand, typing, and,- well--?. Will I ever forget good old Leo who wfs continually borrowing nightwork, and Louie Brida lending it! 'I'here's a boy who always has his nightwork done. VVhen I think of Brownie I will always be reminded of our first day here, when we bumped into each other trying to find our homeroom. He's a homegrown Salts- burg product, brt we're glad to be able to claim him as a B. H. Elnora made tears in our eyes in the class play, not with sorrow, but with laughter, and Amy gave us a drplication of an ideal co-ed. Two more Cardellinos are shaking our dust off their heels! This time its Lola, the girl with the 'smile that wont come off , and Robert the chemis- try genius, who will someday, be a second Albert Finstein. In the salesmsnship class of the first semester, I would bounce into th. room to find Miss Brewer telling Joe Carney to please stand and recite. which seemed to be the hardest job Joe ever had to do. Mary Elizfbeth Clark should enter a marathon for silence. She is seldom heard except when t.acher asks a question, or when she'5 with Eugene. Diary. every Tuesday I go over to 105 just to watch Al Dallara count Blaire funds. At lelst Bill Hart steers shy of the girls. However in a few years we'll probably be hearing about Bill choosing his Mrs T, P. usually means teacher's pet but not in Joe Hirko's case. Here it means teacher's pest, for such is Joe, when he continually teases the poor pedagogues. Leonard Kelly has been everything from 3 football star to a milk- man. Ditty's right-hand man, we might say. Charlie and John Joseph both have a weakness- John for red hair and Char- lie for violins. However, Charlie may have two weaknesses. but really diary, I'm not insinuating a thing! It is an old say- ing, Laugh and grow fat. If that's true I'll soon not fit through 3 door and it's all Clem's fault. Im2gine my surprise to hear him telling a new tearher he had to catch a bus to Tintown! It's just Clem's nature. but confidentally. I wonder if he caught his bus? Bertie Hoke needs sleep and doesn't deny it. She's glad she's graduating so she can get caught up. 'I just can't get this Algebra problem. .Why can't I drop it? You're right the first time. It's Lena. S'too bad she's so abus- ed. Gentlemen prefer blondes, don't they Mary Jane? But then she's bashful. Per- 1 Lk haps Kenny would know. Our little trea- surer certainly is popular around B. H. S. A future racer? Who knows? Maybe just a dealer in Fords, but at any rate Jimmie Laughlin is a supporter of Henry Ford. I've been wondering how Virginia Lear kept sober long enough to see the birdie . She's usually all bubbling over with smiles. John Leone is one of our sleepy seniors who will be missed when he leaves because with him go loads of fun. He may someday be related to a swell little girl whom we all know as Marty. How she gets her nightwork done on time and still keeps a wrestler busy is a big mystery around school. Frank Hill, a football hero, has recently joined the P. O. D. Class but his to sit wherever anyone is absent. What if we'd all be present and two visitors would come? Oh Frankie! Mr. Martz'5 secre- tary is a very efficient one who doesn't spin her gum. Ethel Houser is her name and she will be looking for a job after graduation, Don't all ask for her at once, now. Another Madoni bus patron is Blanche Hughes who is a little bashfigl and doesn't say much. Still when she gets me with her no one gets a chance to talk. 'We do it all, don't we Blanche?
