f and Adforg When the class of 1960 started school in 1946, it numbered 23, but it was not to stay that way for long. Jerry Holub and Wayne Hatton did not stick it out with us. Two new members by the names of Jerry Schaefer and Kenneth Slagle joined us that year. The class that was left after shuffling around was Leonard Brecht, Paul Beck, Renald Burkhart, Wayne Johnson, Edward Kover, Joe Less, John Mayhew, Neale McMann, John Pease, Richard Rabe, Harold Wardenburg, John Walter, Mary Arens, Jerry Schaefer, Loretta Meyer, Judy Pederson, Violet Vargason, Pat Walter, and Bernice Wilhelm. Roll call in first grade was answered by two new members, James Bockholt and Patricia Eakins, but Kenneth Slagle did not join us. Larry Minmert, Karen Schuldt, and Roger Sherlock joined us later in the year. Larry Minmert did not join us for second grade. We lost Paul Beck, Neale McMann, and Mary Arens during the school year and gained Bruce Swick, Two persons, Jim Bockholt and Richard Rabe, did not join us for third grade and we lost Kenneth Slagle during the year. Those who joined us during the year were Janice Parmenter, Ronald Stoddard, Wilburn Sohram and Guy Smith. As we ventured into fourth grade, Patricia Eakins, Guy Smith, and Janice Parmenter did not come along with us. Those coming in to take their places were Terry and Judy Mooney, also we gained Judy Newport during the year. Charles Raines joined us also but left right away. Three people did not join us in fifth grade. They were Ronald Stoddard, Violet Vargason, and Jerry Schaefer. We gained Johnny Mooney, but lost him, and Terry and Judy Mooney, and John Pease. No one moved away during the summer, but we started the sixth grade with the addition of Joanne Hakanson, Carl Pence joined us during the year, but Roger Sherlock left us. John Mayhew and Carl Pence did not answer roll call in the seventh grade and Judy Newport moved away during the school year. A new pupil who did answer roll call that year was Steve Allison. We had only one new student in eighth grade, Eva Mae Carrothers, but she left us before the year was over. As we entered our first year of high school, two students came back again, Jame s Bockholt and Jerry Schaefer. Terry Niebes and Kathleen Neuhaus joined us during the year. Kathleen Neuhaus and Renald Burkhart moved away during the summer so we were two students short in tenth grade. Karen Schuldt left us during the second six weeks of school. Two new students, Judy Kellerman and Virginia Robinson, increased our class to 18 for eleventh grade. We are experiencing the best time of our lives and high school now. We gave a French Prom and Banquet for the seniors and also enjoyed presenting our class play Girl Crazy. Wilburn Schramm left in May. We journeyed into our last year of high school with 16 members. Virginia Robinson had moved away during the summer, and Bernice Wilhelm left us shortly after the first semester. This year has really kept us busy with car washes, the smorgasbord, presenting Father Be Calm, and our glorious trip to Colorado Springs for which we worked so hard. The Juniors surprised us with a beautiful Oriental Banquet and Prom. We have waded through a lot of mud this year, but 15 of us safely reached graduation. Saying farewell to high school are Steve Allison, Jim Bockholt, Butch Brecht, Joanne Hakanson, Wayne Johnson, Judy Kellerman, Joe Less, Loretta Meyer, Terry Niebes, Judy Pederson, Jerry Schaefer, Bruce Swick, John Walter, Pat Walter, and Harold Wardenburg.
