Judy Ackerson The Safety Patrol is one of the many important organizations in the school. The members are elected by the older members of the patrol under the supervision of Mr. Roland Chamberlain. The work performed bythe patrol is very essential in the halls as well as on the buses. Patrol members are stationed throughout the school to regulate student traffic and behavior. All buses that deliver students to and from the school are patrolled by student members of the organization. The Safety Patrol is frequently visited by a representative of the State Police. The officer offers valuable and reliable advice and provides safety literature. Page Forty one

Judy Ackerson The Varsity Club is composed of students who have received varstiy letters in one or more of the major sports, which include basketball, baseball, soccer and cheerleading. The purpose of the Varsity Club is to purchase the awards which are presented to the senior boys who have received eight letters for participating in varsity sports and to the senior girls who have received four letters. Since there is no definite period for the Varsity Club to meet, the president or one of the advisors may call a meeting during the noon hour, if there is something special to discuss. This year the Varsity Club sold Blairstown High School jackets to raise money for buying the awa-rds. Page F orty -two
