Class l-trstory I' RESHMAN X EAR We started oJr hrgh school lrfe wrth a cla s of thrrty three members rn September 1944 We had a successful year swellmff our class treasury by holdrng 8th perrod dances SOPHOMORE YEAR In the fall of 45 we ourrd cur elves Sophornores under thc drrectron of Mrs Osmun Thrs year we were represented orr the J V Basketball squad by Henry Kozrmor and Sam Mendola Durrng the gear we were all very sorry to lose a swell classmate Dave Srlve to whom we dedrcate thrs book He was k1lled rn an arrplane crash on the school grounds JUNIOR YEAR We started our Junror year under thc drrectrorr of Mr Chamberlarn Three of our boys starred cn the basketball team The were Henry Kofrmor Sam Mendola and Lddre Stankowrtz We also had three grrls who were cheerleaders They were Mary Maron Eleanor Westervelt and Audrey Gaus Two of the brggest events of our school hlstory were recervrng our class rrngs and holdrrrg the Junror Prom After a long delav and after arxrous wartrng we finally re cervcd our rrngs rn March In June we had the honor of grvrng a farewell dance to the class of l94r Thrs was thc Ju nor Prom We decorated the audrtorrum wrth stream ers and flowers Some of our classmate took over the Hall and Safety Patrols when last years Scnro s left for then trrp to Washrngton D C We also had the pleasure of usherrng, at therr Senror play and Baccal ureatc and Commencement servrces SENIOR YEAR In September 1947 x e were readv to finrsh our last and most rmportant stretch of Hrgh School lrfe We were under the supervr ron oi Mrs McGoff We commenced ou first two north of school wrth the desrre to earn money for our trrp to Washrneton D C Our chref source was sponsorrng Aunt Cathres Cat a mystery comedy whrch was drrected bv Mrs McGofl The play was a great success rs wc had ood rttendanct both nrghts tlrss xorlrctl d se r rr X rlso rrrcretrs our bank account by sponsorrng, dances and sellrnt, tutroncrx Our trrp was bccomrn more of a rcalrty every dat Durrng the excrtrng days of May 4th thru rth our class was on rts trrp to Washrng ton D C We saw all the well knowr pornts of r tcrest and rt w as a trrp we wrll never for et In May we enjoyed the Junror Prorrr grve rn our honor by the class of 1949 The nnual Senror Banquet was held rn June Baccalaureate Servrces were held rn Junr lith sr large crowd attendrng Com mtncemcnt was held June 18th I'hrs was a mcmor rb'c tvcnrrrg and also very sad as we were leavrng our frrends and classmates Some of us wrll go to college and others wrll take therr places rn the world but ea h one wrll alv ays remember hrs hrgh school dats at B H S Class Colors Green 'md Whrvc Class Flower Whrte Rose Class Motto Inrtratrve Promotes Success page tcrz 1 ' ' ' s, ' -.
