F.B.L.A. Develops Business Leaders Developing competent business leader- ship and an interest in business occupations is the purpose behind F.B.L.A. Highlights of the year were the leader- ship conference at the Nebraska Center, a field trip to Mutual of Omaha, informative talks given by local businessmen, and the state convention held at Kearney. Senior projects included typing envelopes for tuberculosis seals and Salvation Army so- licitations. Officers were president, Stephanie Helleloid; vice-president, Kathy Nemetz; secretary, Cheryl Williby; treasurer, Paula Anderson; historian, Emile Rurup; and student council representative, Karen Backman. Bear Tales, Blair's student anthology of prose and poetry, presents the best origi- nal writing done by students during the year. Material is submitted by teachers and stu- dents, reviewed and evaluated by the staff members, and presented to the student body each spring in a sparkling new issue.
