TATTLE 1962 BLAIR HIGH SCHOOL Blair, Nebraska From Us To You TATTLER ’62 Dedication Dear Mr. Rembold, We, the student body, are dedicating this, our Tattler of 1962, to you. In this small way, we would like to express our appreciation for the many years that you have dedicated your- self to us. Sincerely, The Student Body of Blair High 2 Blair High School Board Emery Nelson. President Dr. Elmer Rasmussen Ruth Taylor Isabell Klopp Dr. Milton Olson Herb Nelson Alice Laaker Dir 3 FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATION As the gears of a machine make it run, so the people on the following pages make our school run. Their efforts and their interest in us through this past year have been our gain. For this we wish to express our gratitude. 4 B.E. KRANTZ Superintendent The administration of Blair High most always stays in the background to the students, making those big decisions that we seem to take for granted, yet play such a large part in keeping things down to a dull roar and running almost smoothly. But we also gained a new smiling one. Dan Aten, by gift of the Methodist Church, will spend his Senior year in Dortmund, Germany. Likewise Hans Diesing will spend a year at B.H.S. They fulfilled teamwork this season by a lot of hard work on each boy's part. A fine coach put together with this drive for victory acquired the goals that many ball clubs wish to gain. 73 State Tournament The year 1962 will certainly go down with a large mark in the history of B.H.S. The Bears roared through Bloomfield breaking three tournament records. Grand Island Catholic was the purple cagers next victory which led us into the Class B State Championship game with Gothenburg. The Bears were downed by them with a very close margin. Losing a game of this caliber didn't leave the Blair followers with regret but rather gratitude toward the boys hard work and determination. Steve lights up two more. Their thoughts are with the boys on the floor. The Fruit Of The Season If you were a Blair Bear follower this year you certainly had a busy job. They rallied up three trophies for the season. The first trophy to tne left is tne Ak-Sar-Ben Conference Champs. The middle displays State Runner-up and to the right is District Championship. These three winnings certainly gave everyone concerned a sense of achievement and the boys much satisfaction for a job well-done. 79 WALSW 70
