As you look buck in the years to come, the staff hopes that the Blair Bears used to divide the pages of this book will create pleasant memo- ries. In this edition of the TATTLEH, u complete picture of all activi- ties is attempted. Vlith these few words of introduction, the stuff presents the TATTLER of 1958. The Tuttle! Stott -4- ' . 1.15 A '2-Q-uv SD:-:alication The stall of 1958 dedicates this Tattler to their guide and director, Mr. Maynard Anderson. For several years Mr. Anderson has freely given time and counsel to the staffs who have tried to por- tray school events and activities within the pages of a yearbook. We greatly appreciate this help and fully realize that, without it, this 1958 Tattler could not have been possible. -5... 1958 jattler Stay Editor - Mary Jo Nielsen Assistant Editor - David Snowbeck Art Staff M Rosemary Spanton Joyce Nielsen Judy Briggs Theresea Johnson Business Manager - Faythe Bifiar Business Staff - Clyde Bunten Sally Burke Donna Conrad Philip Lorenzen Features Editor - Ann Berqschneider Ardith Dolleck Diane Lippincott Sports Staff - John Templeton Louis Jensen Photographers - Bill Anderson Jun Dudley Sponsor - Mr. Anderson -5- elaooeo I fl! On thls day, the Blair Band presented its Spring Concert, with Rafael Mendez as the featured trumpet soloist. At the agent 5, Rafael Mendez was an accomplished trumpeter, and, ct this time, ls acclaimed the World's Greatest Trumpet Player. ln spite of thls honor, Rafael Mendez is as friendly and down-to-earth a person that could be found any- where. Hls jokes during rehearsals with the band made the time pass quickly and pleasantly. In addition to the trumpet and the Cornet, Mr. Mendez also can play the violln and all brass instruf ments. At the evening performance, Mr. Mendez commented on the muslclanshlp of the band stating, lt ts one of the finest high school bands with which I have ever worked. When the concert was ended , those attendlnq agreed that Rafael Mendez is truly the World's Great- est Trumpet Player. y Qzbep elulv v i r ff' 1 V' 1- 'lv Y tx M,.r:,,w-.
