Gollehon, Walden George and Rolland Bucklin lettered. Many members of the class took active parts in various musical organizations including band, orchestra, glee club, and the operetta in which several took leads. Irene De Vinney, Reed O'Hanlon and Roy Christensen showed real ability on the debate team. Several Iuniors were outstanding in declamatory Work. Margaret Maher and Gladys Hanson took honors in the Home Declamatory Contest by winning second and third places respectively. In a Home Commercial contest, Elizabeth Grimm, Helen McMillan and Miriam Iensen were chosen to participate in the District Commercial Contest. On Ianuary 29, the Iunior Class presented the class play Skidding', which proved a wonderful success and a high spot in the history of the class of 1932. It also provided food for the Seniors at a certain social function in the spring. The climax of a successful year was the Iunior-Senior banquet Which was held at the close of the school year. With this, our Iunior year closes. It has been a pleasant, busy one. We feel we have done our best, Working in co-operation with each other and, we hope, bringing honor to our school. As Iuniors we will say no more, but wait patiently until 1952 makes us 'gmighty Seniors. Twenty-Five

In fact, it just wouldn't be school without Iuniors. The Iunior Class, always peppy and ambitious, has been well represented in all school activities this year and has done its share in bringing more honors to Blair Higlfs ample store. When calls were made for volunteers in the different activities of school life, the Iunior Class responded eagerly and was able to boast of representatives in every one of the various activities. The Iunior boys proved mainstays in all forms of athletics. Woodrow Svengaard, Howard Erickson, VValtei' Golle- hon, Rolland Bucklin, Roy Christensen, Clarence Van de Venter, Fredrick Nemetz, and Alvin Brumbaugh lettered in football. In basketball, Walter Twenty-Four

Four Sophomore boys, George Camp- bell, Russell Sylvis, Edgar Short, and Ioe Iohnston, lettered in football and the class also made a very good showing in basketball and track. They were repre- sented in 613' Club by Charlotte Armstead, and in Declamatory by Ruth Mor- gan, Marjorie Kuhr, Bertha Iensen, Esther Carlson, Dorine Glasgowe, and Viola Nelsen. Now here's the grand surprise. In the Home Declamatory con- test, the Sophomores received two first places and one third. Esther Carlson was first in Dramatic and Ruth Morgan third. Dorine Glasgowe was first in Humorous. The class may Well be proud of these girls. Next year, it is hoped that being Iuniors will not sever from these Sopho- mores their charm and ability.
