Making Themselves at Home Asian students new to Blair as well as America, felt at home at Blair with the help of the East-West club. The aim of the club was to help Orientals who just came from another country get used to their new surroundings. Fortune cookie and Almond cookie sales early in the year brought much attention to the club. During Thanksgiving weekend the club went on an overnight camping trip, organized by club presidents. Lulu Fou and Eleazar Vita. The trip was enjoyed immensely by all members. Later in the year. they went to the beach, bowling, and even had lunch in Chinatown. The Performing Arts Hit a High Note Pick any day during lunchtime to visit the Drama and Chorus room on campus and you will find the room filled with sweet Harmonious voices of BIair's presti- gious chorus, directed by Mr. James Co- day, The group performed at various ho- tels, clubs and churches with their major shows being the annual Christmas concert in the winter, and Kaleidoscope in the spring. Enrollment in the Drama classes was low. and ineligibility lists further depleted class size. Due to this situation. the year was used mainly as a learning and growing period. Though many plays were re- hearsed, few were performed. as Q All the Right Moves This year's Gaming Club was undoubt- edly the most productive it has ever been. Under the direction of Mr. Charles Lamb this elite group of students met everyday during their lunch hour to match their wits. Among the games played at the meet- ings were Traveller, Star Frontiers, Time Quest. Whopper Wars, and Squad Leaders that's only naming a few. The games they played included nearly every game in ex- istence.
