Speakin L Gur If you are interested in people, one of the most enioyable departments can also be one of the most rewarding. Learning a foreign language is interesting as well as fun. Once learned, it can be of infinite use in understanding and relating to people with whom you otherwise may not have ever been able to. The motivation to travel and to learn of a particular country is heightened by the knowledge of its native language, The possibilities of meeting people are much greater, Though cut funds and smaller enroll- ments were responsible for a reduced number of language classes, interest still ran high. iiiii' 'iiiiiiidi l RSM papers. 019 Q? They Blinded LI With Scie ce All students at Blair take science some time during their four years. Whether it's for college preparation or just meeting graduation requirements. The Science De- partment manages to please just about ev- erybody, those who are science-oriented and those who are not. The majority of the students seem to prefer life sciences to physical sciences, though both have good enrollments. There is something about H knife and 3 dead frog that can grip the attention of any unnatural-born scientist as well as fas- cinate the natural borns. Science teachers have noticed that labs take away from their lecture popularity, but on the grounds of seeing is believing, they are forced to submit to demands. As requirements from graduation and colleges increase our science department becomes stronger. Due to the require- ments we are looking towards the future and seeing more people enrolled in our various science offerings.
