f 0 JK RUNNER THEIR ARKS! This year track team flourished with talented players. Many new players that joined the team were overwhelmed by the rigorous and stressful workouts. Their hard work and dedication at practices lead them to a successful season. Because of the large quantity of girls, illness and injuries did not harm the team as in prior years. The 440 Relay team, usu- ally the strongest event, consisted of Jac- quelin Williams, Tracey Taylor, Kindra Henderson and Anna Amaral. Tracy Tay- lor and Anna Amaral made spectacular wins in the hurdles and sprints. Seniors Karen Baldeschwieler and Katya Armis- tead showed their endurance in the dis- tance events giving the team an extra edge. 4 Girls Softball is a Big Hit! This years young and energetic team kept up the softball spirit by training hard and playing well in their games. Coach Jane Wyckoff was pleased with her team because they executed Sports- manship and teamwork. Her skillful coaching and encouragement became a winning combination. Gutstanding players included: Michelle Calloway, team captain, and Laurie Brown, an excellent base runner. Martha Conner, the pitcher, was also much improved from last year. Among the many games that were played, San Marino was noted to be one of the toughest. Despite rough competition all through the season Blair always did well.
