Tennis Swings with tyle A disappointing season did not ruin this year's tennis team's spirit. Varsity coach, Gail Deforest, worked hard keeping the team together and their stride up. The biggest problem was the scarcity of play- ers available on the team. This did not keep the strong players from shining. Ce- cilia Younger and Katie Carlson worked hard on their double strategies, which al- lowed them to win several sets. Laurie O'Neill played number one singles and will be a leader of the team next year along with Julie Castro and Emily Wong who have improved tremendously. Junior Varsity, coached by Chuck Lamb, lost many experienced players this year and gained several new players. Sen- iors, Dianna Lau and Nanci Cook, with their dedication, showed the team what it takes to win.'lEven though the season was . Hua' 4 K N .. l .fe f 5 i I ,ffgj ir' V' ' 2, ' ffl ' , --s 2.
