The club had many activities, including trips to Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Ol- vera Street, and Catalina Island, Fun- draisers included a candy sale, a candy apple sale, and a car wash. These activi- ties were successful in raising the money needed to fund scholarships. Food-A Cultural Experience Through the Spanish club, headed by Dr. Battaglia, Hispanic culture was learned and enjoyed by all students. The club discovered the best aspects of Span- ish and Mexican-American life through cultural, historic and gourmet events. Food, being one of the most important and inviting parts of learning the culture, was enjoyed at many of the Mexican res- taurants in Pasadena. A fun time was had by all when the group went to Olvera Street to enjoy the exciting atmosphere of an authentic Mexican street scene. Each member enjoyed one another and the activities that were arranged. The Spanish club at Blair was once again a great success!
