of Lf! 6 The School Improvement Committee at Blair provides an opportunity for parents, staff and students to come together to discuss ways Blair can be improved. The time is spent constructively, solutions are suggested instead of blame being cast. The specific goals this year included improving the morale and communica- tions within Blair, the beautification of Blair, and being available to deal with any crisis. Having a sound board of a broad selection of people helps solve any prob- lem. Improvements such as better use of the marquee, a tutoring program for stu- dents who need it, a copier, and fresh paint for the amphitheater were objec- tives the group worked towards. The committee has kept a sharp eye on developments downtown in other words, at the Education Center. Members have attended school board meetings and reported back as the possible consolida- tion of secondary schools has been under discussion. Bob Miele has been chairman of the committee since it began several years ago, This year, parent Charlotte Tyler has acted as his main assistant.
