BLAIR PUBLIC SCHOOLS ni :il :HE year 1908 semeed very prospective for the school. district of 'H Blair, as the grade school building was built during this year and gi at the beginning of the Term 1909-10 the community of Blair Q: 'Q started out to make this the best school district in Jackson County. ll. A H The superintendent was Professor Wills. His assistant was Pro- QC 'U fessor Baldwin. This year proved a success and many improvements . were made over the past years. - gh The school year of 1910-11-12 began with E. E. Dale supefrinelnd- Ui L ent and Ural A. Rowe principal. to make a greater improvement t an - :I had ever been made before for School District No. 54. And sure lc 'Q enough it ranked with many others along the lines of debating and C il athletics. c The next years 1912-'13-'14 Superintendent A. M. Whorton and Il ll . . A H E. M. Early, principal, made a very good record for the school of Blair. U C ' I 1914-'15-'16 Superintendent Burens and Dr. John Reid as princi- H' 'll pal, made a great record of improvement over the later years. ?':' In 1917-'18 J. L. Jesse and Mr.- Hardy attended to the school if :U matters with great enthusiasm 1 ll .1 1918-'19 J. L. Jesse again superintended the school and Mrs. C U Maymie Rollins acted as principal. - 1: The year of 1919-'20 J. L. Tucker was Superintendent and J. Fred Eaker principal with an enrollment of 485, great work was accomplish- 1 ed. ll if J. Fred Eaker and Bertha L. Marlin were leaders of the school H: 'U in 1920-'21-'22, The High School building was completed in '22 and ll' 'll the High School did fine work that year. They had excellent teachers, QA :ll new rooms and black-boards and it seemed as if a new school had I 1 begun. c li In 1922-'23 J. B. Owens was superintendent and J. F. Eaker was !C 'H principal and with the help of the good faculty many things were 3 1 rea lZ8 . e 'l The years 1923-'24-'25 Superintendent S. E. Spann and Mrs. S. I A H E. Spann were leadersof the school.
