The goal of which is to assist girls interested in enter- ing the medical profession. Mahone. The Debate Team of James Blair participates in tourna- ments at various schools throughout the state wherein the team discusses current and controversial issues of the world. Experiences and train- ing in public' speaking and knowledge and understanding of national problems are among the benefits to students who are members of the team. 83

The radio broadcast, Blair on the Air, is a prime means of SCA communication. The SCA Reporteris responsibility is to coordinate a program to in- form the community about life at James Blair. A group of stu- dents broadcast Blair's news over WMBG every Saturday at 11:00 for fifteen minutes. SCA Reporter - T. Kojesick. A representative from each Senior homeroom is elected to serve on the Senior Council. This council assists the Senior executive board with Senior matters, among which are the collection of Senior dues, caps and gowns for graduation and elections for various Senior honors. The American Field Service of James Blair is the local chapter of the International AFS. The club's purpose is to promote international understanding among students by raising funds to send an American student abroad or invite a foreign student to attend Blair. Among projects are the T.
