In Memoriam 'm-M,.,,W Mr. Leon Cooley The class of 1960 and the Bee Hive staff take this opportunity to pay tri- bute to Mr. Leon Cooley. Mr. Cooley had long been an active member of this community and had devoted much effort to the founding of a summer rec- reational program for the students of the Williamsburg - James City County area. He held numerous offices in civic clubs, his last being president of the Ruritans. He was instrumental in the success of many recent projects that they undertook. James Blair owes much to Mr. Cooley for hisinterest in our athletic program, as he was largely responsible for the athletic field. For this untiring effort Cooley Field will stand as an everlasting memorial to him. Yes, Mr. Cooley will long be remembered in the hearts of the citizens of this community.
