An informal crowning of the Homecoming court took place on Monday Oct. 9th. Tuesday Oct. 10th was Sophomore day. This was their day to prove they had school spirit. At noon they put on a skit. On Wednesday the 11th the Juniors had their day. At lunch the juniors held a mock pep assembly in which thc girls posed as football players in jerseys and long sox and the boys wore kilts as cheerleaders. Thursday the 12th was Senior day. The halls were decorated with balloons with slogans written on them and suckers were given to all high school students with Lick the Lions on them. At lunch the seniors sponsored a pie eating con- test in which a senior won, sophomore took second place and a junior third. The bonfire was piled from 4-8 that night, Friday was rag day. Everyone who had helped with the bonfire was allowed to wear old clothes to school. At night there was the burning of the bonfire, the game and the dance. 33
