5P0 T5 INTRAMURAL SPORTS BASKETBALL 8B boys won the eighth grade championship by defeating 8C, 38-26 and 22-20. They defeated 8D, 46-56, and overwhelmed 8F, 72-21. 7D.won the seventh grade championship by defeating 70, 41-51, and 7B, 27-22. In the final gene of the season 8B won over 7D, 44-20, thus making 8B boys the basketball champions of the entire school. The results of the eighth grade girls' contests were: 8F-8A, 52-41; 8F-8A, 27-19; 8F-8A, 20-17. In this series 8F became champions. ' . 7D played two games with 7E to determine their championship. .7D won both games by the scores of 26-20 and 21-15. Final girls' championship game: 8F-7D, 56-9. SOCCER The boys of 8A defeated 80, 5-0. The 7D boys won over 70, 5-1. Shifflet kicked the goals for 7D. Our 8F girls were champions, defeating the BE class, 2-1. ' 8F won 5; lost 5; tied 8. The seventh grade girls who showed their championship ability by winning over 7B were 7F. The score was 2-1. These 7F girls won 11, lost 4; tied 2. ' FOOTBALL The BF teams defeated 8A, 12-0, and 80, 9-0 to win the football- intramural championship. Pat Moreland sparked the winners. During this season 8F won 6 ganes, and lost none. TRACK In May of 1948, our intramural track meet was held. The 8D class of last year won the trephy. The leading scorers were G. Thompson, M. Miller, T. Lawless, B. Hibbard, J. Garverick, M. Konow, D. Montano and S. Parker.
