Ana Maria Marcondes Barretto, a Foreign Exchange Student from Brazil, came to the U.S. in November and attended school at BHS, while living with Mr. Laurich, Vice-Principal in charge of vocational education, and his family. She returned to Brazil in March. Ana was veryeinvolved in the Jr. One-Act Play, SGA, and was also a member of the Concert Choir. Miss Peggy Williams, one of the seven female downs in the U.S., on a promotional tour for Ringling Bros. and Barnum 8t Bailey Circus, stopped off at BHS and lectured to several Drama, Speech, and English classes. She talked about how she went about becoming a clown and the life styles surrounding a circus. Mr. Kovach, last year's Nursing and Medical Assistant instructor, returned to Bladensburg to lecture to all Junior girls. She informed the girls of the opportunities that are available following completition of the Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant courses. .
