Once a part of Bladensburg, but presently located on the campus of the University of Maryland, is Rossborough Inn. This headquarters for Stansbury's Brigade and the Fifth Maryland Regiment played an important part in the War of 1812. Here the plans were laid, and the bat- tles were fought before a single shot was fired. Like these leaders, the administration and faculty of Bladensburg must plan and give others the benefits of their planning. Many hours of work, which culminate in the classroom, rake place in the faculty room, the library and the of- fice. Here are found all stages of planning from methodo- logical discussions to the typing of a test. In carrying out their plans, the members of the faculty are not win- ning an insignificant battle. On the contrary, they are contributing to the very backbone of the futureg they are educating and equipping the youth of America.
