Dale was a football star To this we must agree lf it wasn't for Dale Champs we might not be. Eddie is our bashful one Very timid and shy But I bet before very long Someone will catch his eye. Roxanna is very ambitious This we can plainly see Although she wants to be a nurse A housewife I bet she will be. Next comes Esther Who as you know Is always full of pep When she marched in the band She was never out of step. Wayne was a boxing champ ln our play you see And maybe in real life A champ he just might be. Ladies and gentlemen, Your attention please! This story you must hear. It's all about the Seniors Of the 1958 year. This story may be comy But we hope it is not late It's all about the seniors Of 1958. ER My ff Q. Shirley is a charming girl About this 1 am no fool She never gets excited She always plays it cool. Hughie is our most handsome one Very slim and tall When not found Reading hotrod books He is usually avoiding the law. Donald is a likeable boy Always loyal and true I bet he gets the girl Of his dreams Before he say's he's through. Sam, we think, will be a farmer This life will make him happy I say before he is 42 He will be a grandpappy. A WINNING SEASON - A K-M LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - A 2nd PLACE COUNTY LEAGUE FINISH - BEST RECORD EVER. This season was long awaited by the boys, the coach, the alumni, and the corn- munity. The school is proud of this years accomplishments and hope that the future will be as bright. The SENIORS departing who contributed so much to this years success were Joe Baker 5'6 guard and a four-year letterman who scored 271 points: Don Priest 5'9 guard, a three-year letterman who, though handicapped early in the season with a broken hand, came on to help us in most of our league games, Sam Shannon a transfer from Keene was an able substitute and gave us much needed height in several games: and Captain Hugh Porterfield 5'11 center, and a three-year letterman who scored 280 points. HUGH PORTERFIELD and JOE BAKER had the distinction of being selected for the ALL-KNOX- COUNTY TEAM. Center: Coach Bill Senft. As the Junior High representatives these boys always gave a good account of them- selves. They had a 4-2 league record while losing three non-league games. As the host for the Junior High tournament the boys made a good showing of them- selves before losing to Gambier, The loss of Jeff Moran just prior to the Tournament was quite a blow but the boys did their best and we can expect no more. As this book goes to press the boys will attempt to redeem themselves in the St. Vincent Invitational. GOOD LUCK BOYS!
