Arthur Munden —— PROPHECY 1, A hugh funeral procession headed by a Cadillac hearse is seen on Pennsylvania Avenue. It is the funeral of the latest U. S. president of which “‘Mud’’ is a sole director. 2. Helen Barrow’s name may be found on all the original models of the latest Paris fashions I regret to state that she is too particular to marry a man. 3. Ida Hart is the coach of N. C. State’s championship boys basketball team. Jimmy Marlatt sits on the bench as usual. 4. PatsyIrby is the ambitious wife of Chief Admiral Kitchin. She has to be ambitious for they now have five little Admirals. 5. Rebecca Simons pictures are found in all the current magazines advertising all kinds of shampoos, but rumors say that she always has her hair shampooed for her since she mar- ried the Ford man. 6. Barbara Williamson has been sued for damage by Gene Krupa for beating his drums too hard. 7. Thomas Wells is having son trouble. It seems that he spends too much time at the college but Thomas’ wife doesn’t mind. She says she can sympathize with the college girls for she was once one herself. 8. Barbara Gamble can be found busily helping her Mother - in - law in the new Blackstone Memorial Hospital. However, Ansell is her steady patient. 10. 22. June DeBerry is the new head nurse at Johnston - Willis will resign soon to marry Tommy Manville. Jane Brugos is just a plain housewife but she makes a good one, especially a good cook. She has been offered Betty Crocker’s job, but she declined saying her place is with Sonny and the children. Herbert Winn, as captain of the Notre Dame football team has lead his team to victory over Army, Michigan, Southern Methodist, and Pennsylvania, but B.H.S. defeated him by the score of 60-0. Kennett Comstock has perfected the Atomic Bomb so that it can be used as a harmless ex- periment in the Chem. Lab., much to the sorrow of high school students. Jimmy Harris is ruling with a iron hand as President of Hampdent-Sydney College. He has not forgotten his hobby dancing on Thursday, tho. Jimmy Kitchin has greatly improved the reputation of the sailors; instead of a girl in every port, they now have two. Helen Ryder’s flute concert at Carnegie Hall draws crowds from everywhere. Box offices announce that tickets are all sold out, so husband and daughter, Jessica will have to sit be- hind stage. Richard Clay, Raymond Pomeroy, and David Hawkes are now County Agents of Amelia, Dinwiddie, and Nottoway counties, respectively. When asked where they achieved their abilities, they announced, “‘Mr. Thweatts’ Agriculture, 1949.’ Nancy Lee West is now perfectly happy since foreign affairs are settled and her long a- waited man has returned from overseas.
