DEDICATIO It is with great pleasure that the members of the yearbook staff of 1966 take this opportunity to honor Mrs.joan Shahan for her outstand- ing contributions to Blackford High School. As an English teacher Mrs. Shahan has conscientiously worked to develop successful and well prepared individuals. Her ability to stimulate comprehensive class discussions has inspired her students to seek the goal of openminded and imaginative thinking. Her dedication to her subject has provided many with a strong liberal arts background which will benefit them throughout their entire lives. In addition to her teaching duties Mrs. Shahan has been the Saga advisor for five years. Few people realize the great amount of work that this job dictates. Much time, effort and worry is required to insure that each edition of the Saga is the best possible. Mrs. Shahan has unselfishly given her valuable time and outstanding ability to Blackford in order that the school might benefit from her knowledge and exceptional abilities. To Mrs. Shahan, a devoted teacher and yearbook advisor, we respectfully and gratefully dedicate this fifth edition of the Saga. 5
