. . e SENIOR HISTORY There comes a time for each yearis graduating class to bid farewell to their high school days, their basic training, and make themselves ready for the battle of life. Never before, has the future of any generation been so completely insecureg so affected by world tension, so lost in a seething world of 'isms'. We, the class of 4511 must take our place in this world. And so, realizing these facts we appreciate more fully our wonderful years spent in high school-happy and carefree. Let us turn back the pages of time to the fall of '47, when we entered B. H. S. We recall our days of insecurity and falterings, and we remember. Yes, we remember our first high school dance. and the inane things we did on the initiation assembly, our officers: Don Argyle as President, Janis Jensen, Vice President, Beulah Farnes, Secretary: and Wallace Yancey as Representative. Mrs. Knudson was our Sponsor. The feeling of belonging. of being a part of this challenging group, of wanting desperately to be heard --to be known--to be accepted in the eyes of the idolized upper-classmen was the aspiration of our Freshman class. ' As Sophomores we lost some of our 'growing pains, and found ourselves fully accepted and adjusted to high school life. We became more asserting and more positive in our convictions. That year David Crockett was our President, Shirley Luthy, Vice President, Darlene Stoddard, Secretary: and Beulah Farnes, Representative. Mrs. Bond and Mr. Powell were our Sponsors. Next came our Junior year, bubbling with life' and activity. Wie had earned our place as upper-classnien. This year we elected Johnny Er-havarria, President, Delores Malin. Vice Presidentg Beulah Farnes, Secretary: and ,lean Eagan, Representative. Mrs. Kotter and Mr. Hartkopf were our Sponsors. At last we were revered Seniors, leaders of the school. secure individuals. The battle of knowledge and achievement had been won. Miss Stewart sponsored us. Wfard Cainniack was Presidentg Vernon Raceliorse. Vice Presidentg Ray Durney, Secretaryg Bob McBride and Beulah Farnes were our Representatives. Again we are Freshmen, insecure and faltering. But as we once buih faith and security in ourselves. so we shall again in the future. We. as a part of the challenging American spirit, shall rise as we have risen: this time to secure peace for the world. , 'Y
