' DEDICATION MRS. ANNA MAE FLOURA The Senior class of 1987 is proud to dedicate this year’s yearbook to Mrs. Anna Mae Floura. Most of us have had Mrs. Floura for a class or two. She has been a great teacher and a great friend. Mrs. Floura graduated from Blackduck High School in 1946. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota, where her major was Home Economics. She was inspired by her Home Economics teacher and her father. She chose her profession because she always liked home cooking. She has been teaching since 1951 and has been at Blackduck since 1954 where she started teaching part-time. She says that what she enjoys most about teaching is being with young people, she can be creative, and the variety in her job — since no two days are ever the same. Mrs. Floura has four children: Mary, Pat, Warren, and Joan. In her spare time she likes to bike, cross-country ski, fish, work in her garden, read, sew, and cook. Enjoy your retirement Mrs. Floura and once again, THANK YOU!

MEMORIES: The Past This year we decided to write to the students that used to be here but for one reason or another left to go to another school. We sent out letters to all the people we could remember. It was fun remembering the past and all those people who are now graduating somewhere else. Do you remember? Margaret Leseman Margaret lives in Lelanon, Missouri with her brother. She spends most of her time reading and listening to music. Michelle Benson Michelle has moved often since leaving Blackduck. She plays tennis, basketball and been active in band. She will graduate from Jefferson Senior High this Spring. Greg Sachau Greg moved to Bemidji and now attends Bemidji High. He is currently starting linebacker on the varsity football team. A member of NHS, Greg plans to attend college after graduation. They are: Mr. Buckley, Mr. Dremmel, Mr. Gran, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Latulippe, Mrs. Ruud, Mr. Sorlie, and Mr. Pauley. Unfortunately, we did not receive replies from everyone.
