By BHS Coach Gerald Sonnek This past football season has been the most enjoyable seasons that I have had in 18 years as football coach at Blackduck High School. Not very many teams go from 3 wins and 6 losses to 9 wins and 0 losses in one year. There is an old saying that nice guys finish last, and this football team definitely proves that statement false. I tip my hat to this fine group of young men and to their parents who must have done a lot of things right in raising these young men. These young men rose to the occasion and played emotionally and inspired in 4 big games this past season. I would also like to publically thank Jim Ross and Dick McKean for their efforts and contributions. One of the reasons for our success definitely is their expertise. 53 FOOTBALL GAMES Sept. 2 Fosston Sept. 9 Warroad Sept. l6 Pequot Lakes 3 Sept. 23 Pine River Sept. 30 Cass Lake Oct. 7 Deer River Oct.
