Staying on the Bemidji State College campus, he participated in a week of discussions and lectures designed to help him become an effective officer in the Student Council. In October, 1966, the Student Council attended the Northern Division Minnesota Association of Student Councils convention at Bagley. Members from our council led three discussions pertaining to Student Council problems. During this convention we campaigned for the office of President School of the North- ern Division MASC and won. It is now our job to plan next year's convention which will be held at Blackduck . Committees were set up to inform all the schools of the area of our convention and to ask for their attendence. In November, the State MASC convention was held at Bemidji. Scott Palmer and Bob Goodwin represented Blackduck. Its theme was The Leaders of Tomorrow”. Through various discussion groups, assemblies, and skits, the delegates gained information on projects, problems, and duties of student councils throughout the state.
