Grundmeier The FFA participated in Public Speaking, Creed Speaking, and Parliamentary Procedure contests at Aitken on January 11. On January 18, they participated in livestock judging contests held at the Red River Valley Winter Shows at Crookston. The FFA ordered three hundred and fifty mallard ducks. These will be raised by FFA members and then put on various lakes. The purpose of the program is to familiarize the members with different conservation measures. The Annual Parent-Son Banquet was held on April 1. At this time Pam Dufseth, last year s Chapter Sweetheart, announced the new Chapter Sweetheart. This year's candi- dates were Holly Falk, Linda Hentges, and Debbie Jensen. Holly Falk was chosen as the new Chapter Sweetheart. O. E. Jamtaas, Elmer Gustafson, and Neal Slindee received Honorary Chapter Degrees. They were awarded plaques with their names engraved on them. This award is given to people who have helped and worked with the Future Farmers of America. On April 20, six FFA members and the Advisor, Mr. Grundmeier, attended the District Banquet held at Hibbing. Allen Reisch, District President, Michael Stenson, District Sec- retary and four other elected members attended. The FFA also sent delegates to the FFA State Convention held in May.

The organization had activity meetings during the winter. They participated in the Basketball Fun Night sponsored by the Lettermen's Club. In the spring they held a Sadie Hawkins Dance for the members and their dates. 12
