There is little glory to be gained from working on the staff. However, every staff member here enjoys Working on the paper simply because of the satisfaction derived from Writing. The 'Burnian serves as a source of experience to its creators and a source of in- formation to its subscriber, both of which supply good reasons for its existence. S. C. A. STUDENT CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATICN The Student Christian Association promotes Christian fellowship on the Blackburn campus and encourages its members to lead a full life. Every student is considered a meme ber. A central core of five leaders is elected by the student body. These, with the aid of two faculty advisors, appoint the rest of the cabinet. The Cabinet meets once a Week on Thursday and holds regular Sunday eve- ning programs. A representative list of the S.C.A.'s activities may be presented as follows: it contributes financially to the Y.M. and Y.W.C.A., Red Cross, Carlinville Hos- pital, Vittorio Frusta fa blind Italian boyl, International Christian University in Iapan, and Various world wide student aid organizations. The S.C.A. has aided substantially in financing the B.U. edu- cation of three D.P.'s. The biggest af- fair is the sponsoring of Parents' Week- end, a B.U. tradition. The organization played an important role in bringing Negroes to the college for the first time in the college's history. S. C. A.
