I, Linda Lowe, being of very sound body and (after chemistry class) unsound mind, will to Barb Brockway a bottle of Lady Clairol “Super Purple Sparkle.” I, Rick Maxwell, will all my hair to Mr. South and Mr. Kemp. I’m sure there’s enough for both of them. I, Bob Miller, being of sound mind and body, will to Ben Dennis and Harold Hamilton a Ford engine for their cars. I, Bonnie Mills, will all the cards and up-to-date lists of advertising to anyone who’s dumb enough to take them. I, Rick Mitchell, will my ability to get into and stay in trouble to Greg Blankenship — the lucky fool! I, Bettyann Moore, do hereby bequeath Black River High School to all my favorite underclassmen. I, Duane Nalley, will my ability to sit and listen to Mr. Albright for four periods a day to anyone without the brains to know better. I, Billie Jo Ramey, will all my pantskirts to Bev and Betty Clifford, in hopes they can wear them next year. I, Pamela Ridenour, being of “sound” mind, will to Mr. Albright a course in “How to Teach a Class.” I, Donna Rollin, being of crumpled body and blistered hand, will Junior, the bass drum and the Batman utility jacket to Kathy Lance. I, Ruth Rollin, being of short body and unsound mind (especially after Algebra class and Mr. Kemp) will the best of luck to anyone dumb enough to take Algebra I; to Mr. Kemp I will my box of “No-Doz’’ to keep his class awake. I, JoAnne Rook, being of sometimes sound mind and able body, do hereby will to my little sis my place as cheerleading captain; and my speech book to any Junior who is brave enough to take it. Good luck! I, Diana Roosa, will to my brother Ken and sister Vicki the ability to get along with others and stand up for what they believe. I, Joanne Runkle, being of a very small mind and quite large feet, do hereby will to the high school faculty another Runkle, John. I, Garry Sifread of strong mind and “weak” body, will to any freshman the ability to run two miles in Cross Country without dying because he will need it! We, Marian Swaino and Carole Smith, being of sound body and unhealthy mind, will to Mr. South a short pantskirt and to Mr. Stuart a Mickey-Mouse cap to go along with his big ears. I, Cindy Stewart, will to Mr. Kemp all the demerits he gave me. I, Diana Terrill, will my ability to drive the family car to my brother Duane. I, Karen Swope, will to my sister Bev the ability to get along with Mr. Albright’s mustache and nails. I, Diana True, will to Tim Taylor all my sympathy for having to sit with all three True’s in 5th period study hall and to Mr. Vunderink (our study hall teacher) a pair of round-toed shoes. I, Ronnie Twining, will my ability to park the wrong way in the school parking lot to Steve Rogers; and my nickname Leroy to any other slow running halfback. I, Louie Vaughn, will a pair of my shoes to Mr. Stuart so that he can throw away the pair he’s worn for the last four years. I, Clarence Walkden, will my bright yellow slacks to Mr. Roser, my green tie to Mr. Kemp, and my red sideburns to Mr. Jo Ra ooutns I, David Walkden, will my first addition of my Plane Geometry book to Mr. Haring to use in his future classes. I, Walt Welch, will my ability to grow sideburns to Mr. South. I, Rick Williams, will one half of my weight to Dale Roe. I, Ray Yeager, will the Peach my sideburns and my bells. 28

I, Wendy Bodenmiller, of small mind and body, will to Mrs. Dalgleish the Miss Congeniality Award of 1970. I, Jane Botdorf, being of cool mind and short body, will to my buddy Stanley Langford, my straight long hair. I, Ann Broome, will my ability to keep smiling during the half time show to the majorettes. I, Loren Broome, will “Griggsy” to Black River High School. I, Tom Canfield, will a foot of my height to Mr. Halleck. I, Rick Chapman, will my nerve to anyone who would want to be Student Council President for two years in a row as | did. Also, I will to Mrs. Dougherty a case of bubble gum. I, Liz Cover, will my driving ability to Mr. Weaver. I, Violet Davis, will to my brother Maynard, my locker in hopes he can use it. I, Ben Dennis, being of sound mind and body, will Robert Miller a Chevy engine for his Ford, so it will run. I, Richard Eichel, will my sideburns and hair to Cotton; he needs it. I, Ed Ensign, will my ability to sleep walk out of windows to Ed Ramey. I, Betty Fetzer, being of very unsound mind for having signed up for speech, will my ability to prove the speech book wrong, and talk five times faster than I can think to anyone who wants it. I, John Freitag, will my Plymouth Sport Fury to Mr. Albright, if he thinks that he can handle it. I, Bonnie Gleisner, will to the Senior class of ’71 the “Easy-going” job of managing the “Pirates” food stand. I, Diana Griggs, hereby bequeath to Laura Riddle my ability to go through all four years of high school being teased by upper and underclassmen alike. I, Fleeta Gruver, being of unsound mind and very unsound body, hereby will to the Board of Education all my culottes and to Mr. Albright another bottle of Excedrin. I, Marcy Guyer, will my sisters Melissa and Mary a tape measure. I, John Hahn, being of sound mind and drunk body, will the Triangle Gardens to Murray Miller who I know will put it to good use. I, Charles Hamilton, will to an unlucky freshman all our delicious school meals, and my crummy, smelly locker. I, Harold Hamilton, will to Steve Henry the book How to Make a Deal. I, Ron Hange, will to “Possum” Ensign twenty pairs of bell-bottoms. I, Jerry Haynes, being of blown mind and holy body, will to the Cross Country team a duck. Wan’na buy a duck? I, Steve Henry, will little Ben D. a Chevy repair manual. I, Delila Hershberger, will to my sisters Mary and Emma the ability to be successful in Black River High School. I, Marge Hoffman, will to Sara Nesbett the privilege to kill “God’’ Hendrick’s feet and to Mr. Vunderik I will my “club” cheerleader foot so that he can use it as an illustration of gestures in speech. I, Blake Jackson, will my baseball uniform to anyone that can wear it. I, Jim Kratzer, will my great chemistry brains to anyone who can pull through two years straight in chemistry. 27

Class Prophecy Delbert Dawson owns his own gas station in Sulli- van. Betty Moore and Pam Ridenour are in charge of all the commercial classes at Black River High School. Bonnie Gleisner was voted “Miss Dairy Queen”’ of the year. Carole Smith is the chairman of the decorating com- mittee for the “Inaugural Ball” at the White House in 1972. Jeff Blankenship owns the “Sun-In’? company in Sullivan. Cindi Billman is working her way up to be the first woman President of the United States. Susan Billman is directing the Black River High School Band, which received a superior rating at the State contests. Violet Davis is the news commentator for the new broadcasting station in Spencer. Wendy Bodenmiller has her own bubble-gum factory in which she sells bubble-gum to the senior English class. Tom Canfield and his metallic green °57 Chevy is trying for his fifth trophy in the quarter-mile race. Jim Clement is a professional wrestler now. Ben Dennis and Richard Manning are managing Shady Glenn in Lodi. Billie Jo Ramey is back with Craig after three divor- ces. Bonnie Mills has just been named “‘Secretary of the ear Tom Moskal has become the Democratic Leader in the United States Senate. Steve Henry was the first man in U.S. history to live on Mars.
