Mr. Kinney has been a member of the faculty of our school for twelve years. During these years he has given much of him self to the school, the students, and his fellow teachers. Among his many contributions to our school are: the honors and atten- tion his state winning typing students have brought our school: his willingness to help the seniors with graduation: his m a na g em ent of the storeroom and storeroom supplies: and his help recording scores and running the score board at basketball games. These are just a few of the many ways in which he has helped to better the school. To thank Mr. Kinney and to let him know how much we appreciate his help, guidance and friendship, we dedicated the 1963 Breeze to him. vu-1 l ll P 1 hw? x Z ' M gf X , YQQXN xx XV g Nw' ' N5 14 KN.. .www QQQQQ' , Q3 SJ W !,m , Rigas X555 bbw 5 amggglgilir. 5 kijv R5 wSPXns1mQ Q 50metimes31j'whe1ms M meygjjeed Om, e . In Appreciation We the seniors of 1963 want to thank all of our parents and teachers for the gift of education. We would like to thank all of our fellow classmen and underclassmen for their friendship and all of the good times they've given us. In our education we have learned to respect other people 's ideas, wisdom, and personalities. We have learned how to have fun and be happyg how to think for ourselvesg how to keep going and have faith no matter what setbacks we may receiveg we have learned what is right and what is wrong. Most important of all we have leamed that we can never stop leaming. As each of us graduates we realize that now we have to set a goal and no matter what we do, we must keep that goal in sight and strive to reach it. Our futures stand before us. This is our world, we'll make it great! We the seniors of 1963 thank Black River Falls High School for all of our school memories and knowledge. Senior Baby Snaps 1. G. Paulsen, 2. P. Sheda, 3. S. L. The Honor Banquet is sponsored annually by the Lions' Club of Black River Falls. The Honor Banquet is held to honor the students who have maintained a high scholastic average while being noted for their good attendance, punctuality, personality, dependability, honesty, coop- erativeness, and participation in extracurricular activities. Each year the sixteen students, two boys and two girls from each class, are chosen by the entire high school faculty and Lions' Club representatives. To be chosen for the first time a student must have a grade point average of 3. 0 or above. A student may be chosen for a second time during the senior year only, and then have a scholastic average of 3. 6 or better. The Honor Banquet is held at different churches each year. After the dinner, the students are introduced and given Certificates of Award. A guest speaker delivers a speech for the honor students. All of us wish to congratulate the honor students of 1962 and wish them good luck in the future. ' 33 , ' N Q, 2' ,,f Q xv 'WN is . AN ff? , I I . 4 'gif-.X 1. . M - , 4? The Tigers improved steadily throughout the season and reached their peak in district tournament competition as they took the champion- ship. A strong Eleva-Strum nine took the play-off game. 9 to 5, and the curtain was dropped on the '62 season. Good hitting and some sparkling defensive play were the highlights of the year: pitching was not always strong, and there were lapses on the defense.
