- UteluwAj. Thou hast the face of an innocent child. Yet, the body of a budding young woman But I who am but half a man Can never hope to enjoy the love you offer. Michael J. Hyjek An briginal poem by Michael his senior year. MR. HENRY KRAFT At one time in our lives we thought this man was an old-fashion stick in the mud. To us he was a perfectionist who couldn't bear the thought of giving us the A we thought we all deserved. Now we realize how very wrong we had been. As Seniors, we are about to be released into the demanding and challenging world around us. Thanks to this man, we are ready to meet the world with a little foresight. Whatever road we choose to take, we will work harder, and accept the hardships with a brighter view. He has condi- tioned us in his classroom to face the trials and tribulations of our everyday life, and we are very grateful. At this time we would like to dedicate our BANNER to a man of great admiration and respect, Mr. Kraft. 3 fw MR. DONDERO AND MR. BAKER What can we say about two guys who SO will- ingly devoted their precious time towards making the 1974 BANNER. It might still be in its earliest stage. None of us will ever forget the long hard hours they shared with us in the dark room, and the sense of fulfillment that came over us all when the deadlines were complete. What can we say, but . . . Thank You! For all of your help, we would like to present each of you with the 1974 BANNER. MR. DAVE ROCK Through the years we have noticed one man in town who has done more for Black River than any other townsman, Mr. Dave Rock. Through the assistance of Okemo Mountain Inc., he has sup- plied ski equipment, and offered free use of the lifts and slopes of Okemo to the students of Black River who may not otherwise have such an oppor- tunity. The Ski Program is only the beginning of the kind and generous acts performed by Mr. Rock. Whether it be donating the use of the lodge for the All-Sports Banquet, giving the photogra- phy club and old laminating machine, or buying an ad in the yearbook -- Mr. Rock is always will- ing to help. To show our appreciation and respect for this man, we are proud to present Mr. Rock with a 1974 BANNER. 4 t ¥ PAY ROLL CLERK Mrs. Schmoll SCHOOL BOARD SECRETARIES Miss Davidson Mrs. Martin ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT Mr. Taylor SUPERINTENDENT Mr. Schmoll 6 Principal MR. And if you still can't - I leave you a muzzle, as a last resort. LUCY WHEELOCK leaves Nancy Tucker a megaphone so that next year when two of us are in the hopper, maybe she can be heard. Right Nance?
