Senior Address The class of 1969 is very happy to have reached its first goal in life. As we leave high school, we are ready to accept the challenge of the modern world we will now be entering. We would like to thank the parents and teachers who have helped and tolerated us throughout high school. To the class of 1970 we give the responsibilities of seniors and hope you may carry them well. Good luck! Junior Response The class of 1970, as well as the entire student body of Black River wish to extend sincere congra- tulations and deep thanks for the leadership and guidance the class of 1969 has given us. Everyone having the pleasure of growing up with you, is sure that you as individuals will not cease to produce the good will you have at Black River. Whether the coming year finds us walking the familiar halls of Black River or memorizing room numbers in Springfield, the class of 1970 graciously accepts the responsibility passed on to us by you, and we hope, that by using your example, we can suc- cessfully carry out these responsibilities.

Message From the Principal With the complexities of life so vivid in today's existence, it becomes necessary, as youths, to give considera- tion to a variety of outlooks in order to find one’s niche” in life. At times, it may seem quite discouraging to cope with the experiences of adults, but a dogged determination, faith in one’s ability, and a will to succeed can overcome the more difficult obstacles. Good luck to the gradutes in the class of 1969. Hj Message From the Superintendent With the increased challenge to young people in today’s world, higher levels of education has become more and more important each year. Set your educational goals as realistically high as pos- sible and then let nothing deter you from these goals. The more educated you become, the more you will begin to realize how little you really know about the world and its problems. Education is the key which makes it possible to decide what is good and worth keeping and what must be discarded to enable you to get the most out of life.
