Superintendent’s Message Dear Seniors: You are today preparing to enter into a world quite unlike that of any previous ge- neration: a world that holds promise for never-before-thought-of prosperity on the one hand, and fraught with monumental problems and obstacles to that prosperity on the other. As a new generation of young adults, you are our nation’s most valuable natural re- source. For only through the skills and ideas that you possess will come the solu- tions to many complex and varied world confrontations. Your heritage is sound, and your opportunity is limitless; courage, abil- ity, imagination, wisdom, sacrifice, and de- termination on your part will write the next chapter. The best to you always, Principal’s Message Education is a never ending process in- volving the whole being — mental, physi- cal, and spiritual aspects. The pursuit of this objective involves many trials and trib- ulations, the least of which are those days spent in formal educational activities. Set a goal and through diligent effort despite these trials and tribulations and failures, success can be achieved. It is a rough “roe to hoe” but it is a part of the growth process which we must all face at one time. Success is achieved when one has overcome all ob- stacles along the way to his objective.

;'Dedication Mrs. Howard Barton; Mrs. Donald Simons; Mrs. Charles Smith; Mrs. Ignatius Matulonis — President; Mrs. Donald Devereaux; Mrs. Harold Bragg, Jr.; Mrs. Arthur Scales. In the past years the Junior Women’s Club has been busy at several projects for the benefit of our school and community. Help has been extended by them to our library, our A.V.A. program, in schol- arships and many other projects. It is with pleasure and appreciation that our class dedicates this Ban- ner to the Junior Women’s Club. and The class of nineteen-sixty-seven wishes to pay tribute to Ed O’Connor and the boys in Viet-Nam with the dedication of this Banner. It is with pride that we realize, during this time, that there are those among us who are willing, and who have the courage, to put their country before themselves. As underclassmen we have had the privilege of know- ing these young men and following their fine ex- amples. Their fearlessness has b£en monumental, and none of us will ever forget what they have done.

Senior Address Parents, friends, and classmates: Here we are at the end of another year. This year, however, is a special one for the members of the class of 1967. This is the year in which we leave old friends, faces, and the life we have been leading during the past four years. We are now about to enter a new life. I sincerely hope that all of the seniors are prepared for this change. I also hope that none of our ranks ever forget the times, the laughter, and all the help that we have had during our high school years. I personally would like to congratulate my fellow seniors and to wish the best of luck to next year’s seniors. junior Response Now, once again, the familiar curtain rings down upon another school year and another senior class. We hope in the future you will be guided by the same worthy mo- tives that have guided you here at B.R.H.S., for then you will realize your goals. You are the class which has been our predecessor for three years; we have watched you with interest and apprecia- tion while each year we have waited to fill your place. The final step in high school education has been reached by you. The question is where do you go from here? Using the standards of leadership and re- sponsibility you have so greatly achieved here at Black River High School, we hope you can enter this perplexed world of today and become successful. The class of 1968 wishes you Godspeed towards your goals.
