GOLF is probably the hardest sport to get anyone to come out for because there are few area high schools that have a golf program, so coach Lapan has to rely on a yotmg person's own interest and talents in golf. Interest and talent were abundant on this squad, how- ever. Even though there were only four members, they always showed up to play and always gave it their best! The swingers on the squad were: 1Picture 1, left to right1 Bill Dolk, Mike Wysowski, Al Corwin, Monty Dolieslager, and Coach Dave Lapan. Mike Wysowski was second in conference and was voted to the All- Conference Team and was also voted the team's Most Valuable Player. Mike and Al are pictured with their trophies 121 . With the necessity of rtmning in any kind of weather over a five-mile course, over hills and through trees, it is easy to see why there aren't very many out for this sport. However, Coach Nelson Lay is hoping that with the current interest shown in long dis- tance running, the number of team members will increase in the future .
