He h as also se rved on the Sp e cial Events and the Compensation Program Committees. Mr. Sams received his B.A. from Ill- inois Wesleyan, M. A. from the University of Iowa, with additional work at the Uni- versity of Illinois, Western Illinois Univer- sity, the University of Missouri, a nd Ox- ford University. In his spare time, Mr. Sams enjoys be- ing the scorekeeper at the B. H. E. basket- ball games and is a member of the Illinois National Guard. His hobbies are his wife, Chris, and son, Erik. KIRK P. POSTIER Assistant Professor, Kirk Postier, teaches all of the Math and Calculus cour- ses at the East Campus. He also helps with the Volleyball Club and the Women's Volleyball Team and is a member of the Sweathogs fFaculty Basketball Teamj. He has served on the Provost's Advisory Com- mittee, as Ch airm an of the Merit Bonus and Curriculum Committees, and as Vice Chairman of Faculty Senate. Mr. Postier received his B. S. from Wi- chita State University and his M. S. from Ohio State with additional work at Ohio State. In his spare time, Kirk w orks with the Knights Drmn and Bugle Corp. He also c oaches Men's and Women's YMCA Vol- leyball Teams and is the Director of YM- CA Summer Volleyball Program. His hob- bies are photography, basketball, golf, and eating lunch at Norma's. BERNADETTE SHANER Bernadette Sh ane r is an Assistant Pro- fessor in th e Practical Nursing progr am. She s e rv es o n the Curriculum, Academic R e View Committees, and co-sponsors the Nursing Club. She has studied at the University of Illinois, the University of Oklahoma, and B. I-LE. Mrs. Shaner served two ye ars as a Peace Corps volunte er in Tunisia, North Africa, where she taught in Arabic. In her sp a re time she plays the organ, sews, sings, runs, and bicycles.

DAVID L. BRADBURY David L. Bradbury is an Assistant Pro- fessor of English, Journalism, and Drama. Mr. Bradbury teaches English 102, Comm- unications, American Literature, and Mo- dern Fiction. He serves on the Bicentenn- ial, Tenure, District Compensation, Dis- trict Te nure and Retention Committees. Also, Mr. Bradbury sponsors the Drama and Yearbook organizations. IVIr. Bradbury earned his A.A, from Grand View College, B.A. from Drake University, and M. S. from Illinois State University. Additional w o rk w as done at Bradley University, Illinois St ate Univer- sity, and the London Center. Mr. B r a d b u r y enjoys travel, photo- graphy, and drama during his spare time. LYNDA WILLIAMS Instructor Lynda Williams teaches Eng- lish 101 and English 102. She has served on the Curriculum Committee and Social Committee. Mrs. Williams received h er B.A. from Bradley University a nd has done additional work at Western Illinois University. She enjoys skiing and other outdoor activities in her spare time. KEN MAGUIRE Ken M ag uire is an Assistant Professor and one of the original faculty members of B. H. E. Ken teaches Anthropology, So- ciology, S oc i al Problems, and American History. He is also an official timer at basketball g a m e s. He serves on the North Central, Social, and Constitution Revision Committees, and also the President's Ad- visory Council. Ken re c e iv e d his A. S. from Broward junior College in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, B.A. from Eastern Ke ntucky State Col- lege, and M.A. from Eastern Kentucky University. He has done additional work at the University of Colorado. Ken enjoys golf, tennis, photography, Mason and Shrine activities, and Sherlock Holmes in his spare time.

She has s e rv e d as the Faculty Senate chairperson and on the Promotion Review Committee, Provost's Advisory and President's Advisory Councils, and the Resource A llo c ati o n C ommitte e. Mrs. Tyler co-sponsors the Nursing Club. She received her Nursing diploma from Galesburg Cottage Hospital School of Nurs- ing and her A. B. from Knox College with a d diti on al work at the University of Ill- inois. Before coming to B.H.E. , Mrs. Tyler worked at Galesburg Cottage Hosp- ital, Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Ha- ven, Connecticut, and taught at Carl Sand- burg Community College in Galesburg. In her spare time Mrs. Tyler works with the Cub Scouts, PTO, and helps with the Kewanee Ambulance Service. CURT HULTEEN Professor C u rt i s I-Iulteen teaches Gen- eral, Child, Personality, Educational, ln- dustrial, and Social Ps yc h o l o g y. He has s e r v e d on the Instructional Research and Development, Faculty Ev a 1 u a t i o n, Pro- m oti o n Review, a n d t h e Compensation Committees. He also sponsors the Psycho- logy Club. He received a B. S. and M.S. from Illinois State University, and an Ed. D. from In di a n a University, with additional work at Western Illinois University and Southern Illinois University. Dr. Hulteen serves on the Illowa Men- t al Health Committee and the Henry Cou- nty Mental Health Advisory Committee. LAWRENCE T. DIVERS Lawrence T. Divers as an Instructor of Communications, teaches Communications 100, Introduction t o Interpersonal C om- m uni c ation, Mass Communication, and Principles of Effective Public Speaking. He has se rved on Special Events, Social, Bi- centennial, a nd Instructional Evaluation C ommittees. Also, Larry is an assistant coach for the Women's Basketball team. Mr. Divers has received a B.A. in Speech and English from St. Martin's Col- leg e, Olympia, Washington, and an M. S. in Speech Communication from Illinois State University. He is enrolled in the Ed- ucational D e p a rt m e nt program at Nova University. Prior to coming t o B.H. E. , he was th e Coordinator of Contracts and Con- cessions at the Seattle Center.
