LANNY ANDERSON Lanny Anderson is an A s s o c i at e Pro- fessor of A gri cult ure. Lanny teaches Ag Mechanics courses and supervises the Land L a b or a t o ry. He serves o n the Promotion Review C ommittee and Social Com- mittee. Lanny is a co-sponsor of the Agri- Business Club. He received his B. S. in Ag Education and his M. Ed. at the University of Ill- inois. A d d it i o n al work has been done at the University of Illinois and Western Ill- inois University. Lanny enjoys farming, travel, and sports in his spare time. ELDON R. AUPPERLE Eldon A upp e rle is the Coordinator of Agriculture Programs at B. H. E. , including the Vet's Farm Program. He serves on Cur- riculum, Bicentennial, joint Promotion Review Committees, and is the Chairman of the Tenure Committee. He co-sponsors the Agri-Business Club. He received his B. S. and M.S. de- grees from the University of Illinois, with additional work at the Unive rsity of Ill- inois. He has taught in high school voca- tional programs a nd worked at W. R. Grace and Co. in Fertilizer, Personnel Develop- ment, and Sales Training. His spare time activities are miniature golf, gardening, and youth groups. RALPH A. BENTON Ralph A. Be nton is a Professor of Ag- riculture. R alph teaches Agriculture Eco- nomics courses and supervises agricultural students on W ork experience. He serves on the Special Events, Curriculum, and Sab- batical Leave Committees. Dr. Benton is a co-sponsor of the Agri-Business Club. He received his B.S. and M.A. from the University of Nebraska, and Ph. D. from the University of Illinois. His post- doctoral work was done at Ohio State Un- iversity. Prior to coming to B.H.E. , he taught vocational agriculture in a public high school and taught agri-education and agri-economics at the University of Neb- raska, Illinois State University, and South- ern Illinois University. In Dr. Benton's spare time, he enjoys golf, music, and the church. Qs. iii xg

w DAVID LAPAN Dave Lapan, Athletic Director, coaches b asketb all and coordinates intramural activities among o th er responsibilities. lvlr. Lapan received his B. S. and M.S. both at Illinois State University and has done additional work at Southern Illinois University QEdwardsvilleQ and Eastern Illinois University. Before coming to B.I-I. E. , Mr. Lapan, among other things, taught at La k e l a n d College, w a s a Director o f Playgrounds and Little League, and w a s an assistant golf pro. Mr. Lapan lists tennis, racquetball, and running among his hobbies. Dave and his wife, Rita, fwho helps with B.l-I. E. 's Nursing Programj have three children. KATHIE DRISCOLL Assistant Instructor, Kathie Driscoll, te aches Readi-ng 103, trains tutors, and sup e rvis e s the R e a di n g and Study Skills Center. She serves as chairperson of the Special Events Committee. Mrs. Driscoll received her B. A. in Education and M. S. in Reading from Western Illinois University. She has worked as a Title I Re ading Aid and as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Iowa Re a ding Center before coming to B.H. E. Her two daughters fill any spare time Ms. Driscoll has. 'sr -.-4'lf t f11' I CONNIE I-IERINK Connie Herink, Student Services S p e ci a li s t, works with admissions, r e g i s tr a ti o n, recruiting, and academic advise- ment. She received her B. S. from Illinois State University and her M. S. from Western Illinois University. Before joining the B.I-I.E. staff, Connie taught high school English. Music and reading are among Connie's interests. RICH WARNER Rich Warner, Counselor and Coordinator of Student Activi- ties, teaches Human Po t enti al, coaches the Sweathogs, and sup e rvi s e s such things as testing, placement, a n d veterans' affairs. Also, he has served on the Curriculum and Special Events Committees and is advisor for the Student S en ate and other student organizations as requested. Rich ' s background includes a B.A. in Psychology and an M. S. in Education from Northern Illinois University and the position of C o o r din a to r of Veterans' Affairs at Kishwaukee College before coming to B.H.E. Mr. Warner enjoys sports and photography. HOGE Assistant Professor, D an Hoge, teaches Animal Science, Fe eds and Fe eding, Swine Science, Be e f Science, Meat Ani- mal Evaluation, and serves as a placement supervisor for work experience. Mr. Hog e has s erve d on the Merit Bonus, Academic Review, North C e nt r al Review Commit- tees, a nd as Secretary of the A g Advisory C omm i tt e e. He helps sponsor th e Agri- Business Club, Liv e s t o c k judging Team, and the Dairy Judging Team. Dan received his B.S. and M. S. in Animal Science from the University of Ill- inois with additional work at the Univers- ity of Illinois a n d S o ut h e r n Illinois Uni- versity fC a rb o n d a 1 e Q. Before coming to B. H. E. , Mr. Hoge worked at th e Univers- ity of Illinois Extension Service and as Livestock Specialist in Henry County. In his spare time, he belongs to the National Junior College Livestock Coaches Association, Purebred Livestock Business, and enjoys professional livestock judging. RON RABER Ron Raber, an A s s i st a nt Professor in the Agriculture program, taught crops and soils c o ur s e s and co-sponsored th e Agri- Business Club. In the spring of 1976, Ron decided to put the theory he'd been teach- ing into practice and left the st aff to be- come a full-time farmer. Mr. Raber e arne d his B. S. at Illinois State University, his M. S. at Southern Ill- i n oi s University, and h a s done additional work at the University of Illinois. Ron is also an active Jaycee. JON R. WOLF jon Wolf is the Horse Science Instruc- tor. He teaches all of the horse science c ours es. He has served as the chairperson of the Social Committee and has also served on the S p e c i al Events Committee. In addition to coaching the H orse judging Team, he h e lps sponsor the Agri-Business Club. Mr. W olf received his B. S. and M. S. both from the University of Illinois. His inte rest in horses is shared by his wife and daughter.
