In this respect I feel that it is impera- tive that a good counseling program be developmental, as well as crisis-oriented. It is my obligation to the students, the school, the community and myself to develop and operate programs that permit students to explore and develop their potential. Directory I joined the Black Hawk East staff in September of 1970, as Director of The Learning Resource Center. My duties as director are to co-ordinate the Audio-Visual services on campus, to build services, usage and collection of the materials pertaining to The Learning Resource Center. I received my B.A. degree and M.A. degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Before coming to B.H.E.C. I worked as a librarian at Wilson Junior College in Chicago, Illinois. 'T'3i'.3's. In I Dale Swanson QSupervisor of Business Affairsj I came to Black Hawk East with a business background having been General Manager for a local business for twenty five years. 2 3 I received my B.A. degree from McKendree College, Lebanon, Illinois, and my M.Ed. from the University of Illinois. Before coming to Black Hawk East I taught in Waterloo High School. I came to Kewanee, Illinois in 1967 as Co-ordinator of Student Services until 1969 when I was appointed Assistant Provost. In this capacity I serve as director of financial assistance.
