Fgkgrl A134 JUNIOR PRCDM The Class of 1959 held their Junior Prom April 19, 1958 with Dale Jaeger reigning as King and Gloria Dauck as Queen, The theme for the festive evening was April Love This was depicted by phrases of the song, April Love is for the Very Young, An April Day Will Suddenly Bring Showers, Apri1 Day' and April Love Will Slip Right Through Your Fingers , A false ceiling, made in the shape ofa fan, accented the decorations of blue, pink, yellow, green, and white. Amusing stunts were performed were crowned by Coach Oscar and huge bonfire. King Douglas Sveum and Queen Judie Barsness were crowned in front of the scene depicting the theme, Winter Wonderland The court consisted of: Karen Garfoot, Gene Schumann, Margaret Mar- tinsen, Dale Jaeger, Ruth I-lowery, Gale Urbanzick, Dorothy Walstad, and Calvin Tollefson. Crown bearers were Pamela Bailey and Wayne Barsness, Skaters, snowmen, snow-sprayed trees, snowflakes and deer also helped to portray the winter scenes. After winning the Tri-County Championship from Prairie du Sac 'n a playoff game at Black Earth, the team went on to the tournament at Sauk City. They again beat Pr iric to go on to the district tournament at Middleton and played Waunakee for the district title. Black E th beat Waunakee and were then qualified for the Sectional meet at Lake Mills.
