■■ I Commanding Officer R. E. Bondy, Jr. CDR USNR Commander Bondy is a graduate of ihe U. S. Merchant Marine Academy. Following his graduation in March 1945 he has been assigned duty in destroyer types with tours in the U.S.S. Hilary P. Jones (DD-427), U.S.S. Jenks (DE-665), U.S.S. Carpellotti (APD-136), U.S.S. Gatling (DD-671,) U.S.S. Steinaker (DDR-863) and as Executive Officer of the U.S.S. Strong (DD-758). During a period of broken service he sailed for the Socony Mobil Oil Co. serving in S S Tatarrax, S S Mobilfuel and S S Magnolia. Tours of duty ashore have included duty as Commanding Officer, U. S. Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Training Center, Gulfport, Mississippi and an assignment at the Bureau of Naval Personnel as Reserve Enlisted Plans Officer. Commander Bondy, his wife Katherine Ann and children Robert E. Ill, ' ' ■liam D. and Ann McD. reside in Long Beach, California.

She has since been serving with Destroyer Divisions 92, 191, and 192, making yearly deployments to the Western Pacific. ribbons. (2) PHILIPPINE REPUBLIC PRESIDENTIAL UNIT CITATION (3) NAVY OCCUPATION SERVICE MEDAL (4) KOREAN SERVICE MEDAL (5) KOREAN PRESIDENTIAL UNIT CITATION.

Executive Officer O.K. Hallam LCDR USN M ' MJlfc, LCDR O. K. Hallam, U. S. N. received his commission in 1946 at the University of Texas NROTC Unit. His tours of duty have included the U.S.S. RANGER (CV-4), COMSERVLANT Staff, U. S. S. RENSHAW (DDE-499), U. S. S. ACHERNAR (AKA-53), Command of the U.S.S. PINNACLE (MSO-462) and Chief Staff Officer COMINRON Seven. He is a graduate of General Line School, Monterey, California and U.S. Navy Postgraduate School-Mine Warfare Cur- ricula. Prior to becoming Executive Officer of the U. S. S. BLACK (DD-666) LCDR Hallam was Mines Officer on the Staff of Commander Mine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
