R I R S VI ES SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Pres1dent Glorla Matyas VILC Pres1dent W Junlor Creasy Treasurer Ilamae Berger Class Offlcers Although each semor had h1s part 1n class actlvltles the success of the Class of 1946 IS due largely to the efficlent leadershxp of 1ts officers These officers showed leadershxp ab1l1t1es early ln thelr h1gh school career and were promptly elected to posltlons of respon 1b1l1ty Cwlorla Loulse and Ilamae had serve prev1ously as class ofhcers and Junlor was Buslness Manager of the Boys Basketball eam When elected th1s year they accepted w1ll1ngly the responslblllty of organlzlng and puttmg 1nto actlon the varlous class projects Not only dxd they dlrect but c'ten they themselves performed tasks forgotten by others The senlors commend these lntelllgent loyal hard worklng lassmates who led them successfully through thelr senlor year Class H1StOIY We an enthuslastlc and l1vely group of Hfty elght freshmen were welcomed mto Black Creek Townsh1p Hlgh School on September 8 1942 Soon we organlzed under the very helpful gu1dance of Mrs Munson who had been asslgned as our adv1ser We elected the following officers to lead us through our first bxg year Glor1a Matyas Leo DeCamp1 Ilamae Berger and Rocco Calvello Our first task was the purchaslng of class p1ns lnscrlbed wlth our 1n1t1als and the date we W1Sh9d to reach our goal 119463 We also chose our class colors blue and gold our class motto Semper F1del1s and our class flower Amerlcan Beauty rose The LAUREL I 12 The Autumn Party held ln our honor was a never to be forgotten event We were a lucky group for we recelved only a few green marks for our 1n1t1at1on It semed but a short tlme untll we had com pleted our first year 1n h1gh school and were ready to go a step farther to the Sophomore year By the tlme we were Sophomores we had lost a number of our class members one Edward Donar to Uncle Sam s Navy We were hosts to the Freshmen at an Army party where the new recru1ts were formally lnducted mto hlgh school lxfe Our llvely group of Sophomores found plenty to keep them oc cupled that year fCont1nued on Page Nmeteenl 23 .yi 'I a 4 o Y s' ' ' . , , r v ' !
