one of a new type of instruction and of many exciting experiences It took us a while to learn the rules and regulations of this cxmp but we perseyered and were soon accllmated to our new suiroundings The first big task of the year was selecting capable lcadc rs to guide us ln all our undertakings The leaders we chose were Clyde Zehner Fred Price Thelma Law rente ind Dorothy NlC0lOd1 Our first business transiction was the purehasing of pins inscribed with the initials of our eamp and the number of our troop They were our most treasured possessions ind we wore them it all times ln addition to our work we had some play Especial lv did we enlov our Hilloween Christmas and skating parties Thus ended our first year of training as Privates of Bl uk C104 k High After an extended furlough we returned to camp and were happy to be informed that we were promoted to Prly xtes First Class In this seeond year we reelected Clyde Zehner as our commanding officer and Joseph Yurcho George Roman ind Fsthu Rittenhouse as his assistants The first speful privilege granted us by our General Mr Schneider was to entertain the new band of rookies who had been inducted into our cimp This was an occasion that called for a celebration and we cele brited' The grmater part of this year was spent in diligent working for by this time we were fullv aware that work w is the keynote to advancements and training days The next big problem confronting us was the publlea tion of the Bee Cee Journal of which we sold many copies The news of out camp life was enloved by its many readers Another enjoyable custom we were assigned to carrv on was the entertaining of our graduating members To raise the necesary funds to do this in a manner befitting to them we held a Bingo Party and sold chances on a quilt donated to our ambitious troop by the grandmother of our commanding officer Clyde Zehner With the whole hearted support of the public both were prohtable undertakings After much preparation the day arrived for that out standing soelal event of our third year the entertain ing of the graduating members Our farewell party with its colorful decorations music feastings and friend ly social atmosphere will always be a pleasant memory It may indeed be recorded in class history as Remem At last we reached our Senior year of training and received the new classification of Sergeants During this fourth and happiest year of training we chose for the fourth suceesive year Clyde Zehner to be our com manding officer His capable associates were Fred Price Thelma Lawrence and Evelyn Morgan This was a year of varied activities We sold Christrnas cards held a Bingo Party sold chances and produced two plays as a means by which we could raise money to hnance the publication of our year book Our two plays Super Susy and The Campbells Are Coming proved to be very entertaining to appreciative audiences In all these activities we were successful At last our training days were completed These last days were exciting days with continual aetivities Hap pily we attended the parties and banquets held in our honor Proudly we participated in the class night play Behind the Guns and with reverence we attended our inspiring Baccalaureate Services Then our goal Commencement As we received our diplomas which signified the knowledge we gained we determined to uphold forever the standards
