(cont. from p. 23) But he knew they’d all get a good grade for their film class. This was the first movie Joe’d ever made. He dreamed of driving a fast car in a chase scene. Like “Bullet.” He shrugged his shoulders. Well, ya gotta start somewhere he said aloud. It was getting close to the end of the school year for Joe and he had so many things to do—choir practice and homework always had him busy. Which always took him to the library to study. Joe walked towards the library with his govern- ment book and a notebook in his hand. He knew he really had to study for this one. Chapters 9 and 10. Ten was foreign policy—god forbid! With the library door closing behind him he headed for the tables. When they came into sight he saw three big guys with numbered jerseys and a nice looking dishwater blonde with long straight hair, “show-offs Joe thought as he passed them, laughing and talking aloud to impress the pretty girl. Joe sat down and opened his book. After awhile he could no longer tolerate the noise. He slammed his book and turned and glared at the belligerents. They turned and looked at him and all laughed. Joe angrily got up, snatched his books and stormed back to the desks where two extremely pleasantly plump girls were poking each other and giggling uncontrol- ably. Joe let out a sigh and walked out the library door. (cont. on p. 31)
