CN (cont. from p. 18) “Joe. Joe Geoorrge. Don’t you have to register to- day Joe”? Curses,” Joe thought gritting his teeth. He turned the key off and the car quit. He opened his car door and put his foot into a snow bank. Joe walked through the door pushing his hair back into with his hands. A long time ago he saw no need for the comb. Lucille ran up to him like a chicken with its head cut off. Lucille's usual composure. “Joe, I don’t know what I’m supposed to do! My English class was filled yesterday, my dad told me to get a job, some girl stepped on my foot—oh gawd it hurts—I just don’t know what to do... Joe met Lucille over the last semester. He took a liking to her at first but became pained with her incompetance. “Lucille,” Joe said, “shut up.” Lucille clammed up and followed Joe puppy-like into the Armory where all the happy teachers were. When Joe got his and Lucille’s classes all straight- ened out, they left. They walked out into the cold parking lot together. Joe groaned as he looked at the flat tire on Lucille’s car. She looked at him sheep- isly... Joe frowned. “Do I gotta wear it ? “Yes, now put it on, Joe” Eloise said. Joe put the doctor's uniform on.
